HR Support :

Grievances

Grievances (both "informal" i.e. verbal & "formal" i.e. written) need to be sorted out immediately as they tend to quickly escalate and can end up in an Employment Tribunal.

If a member of staff informs you that they have a grievance I can give you some one-off advice or guide you through the ACAS approved grievance process.

Employment Tribunals

These can be costly in time and effort.......Why ?

  • The mountain of paperwork to complete before the Tribunal
  • The cost of a Barrister (if you decide to use one)
  • The time spent at the actual Tribunal
  • The compensation that you will have to pay if you lose

    You also have the costs that you can't quantify  like ; bad press and the feelings and morale of your other staff.

    I can help you to limit these costs by taking you through the process. I can also advise you on whether I believe you should consider mediation to avoid going to a Tribunal - it may be cheaper in the long run ! even if you "know you're right & they are wrong" !!

  • Disciplinary situations

    If you are having a problem with a member of your staff I can provide you with advice and guidance to try to improve and resolve the issue.

    I can then review your existing disciplinary process or provide you with a new one that is appropriate and tailored to your business. I can then hold a workshop or 121 meetings with your Managers to ensure that they understand the process and are able to deal with future disciplinary situations with confidence.
